Tuesday Tip: Kerning

Let me make sure I give credit to www.mycolabs.com for the above image.  It is an exclusive archival print.  If you are a designer of fonts, you can't help but to love it!

This is a really simple tip!  First let me define kerning.  Kerning is simply the space between letters in words when you type.  Sometimes they need specific adjustments to look great rather that what you get just when you type a word.  Just as an FYI, leading is the space between lines of text.  Anyway,  For KERNING: Adjust the spacing between (letters or characters) in a piece of text to be printed. In most programs you can just hold down Alt while using your arrow keys to control the spacing in-between letters and lines.
