Tuesday Tip: Painted Wooden Signs
These next two tutorials really come in handy around the holidays. I wish I would have known about them sooner because I can't count the times I have tried to paint perfect letters and failed. As cute as the hand drawn letter looks is it is just nice to be able to do the flawless yourself. Here's How To Paint The Perfect Letters and How To Transfer Ink Onto Wood. Now for some of my favorite fall and Halloween examples. Check out the above tutorials then let me know if you make a sign. I'm sitting here trying to figure out what to paint!

Tuesday Tip: Kerning
Let me make sure I give credit to www.mycolabs.com for the above image. It is an exclusive archival print. If you are a designer of fonts, you can't help but to love it!
This is a really simple tip! First let me define kerning. Kerning is simply the space between letters in words when you type. Sometimes they need specific adjustments to look great rather that what you get just when you type a word. Just as an FYI, leading is the space between lines of text. Anyway, For KERNING: Adjust the spacing between (letters or characters) in a piece of text to be printed. In most programs you can just hold down Alt while using your arrow keys to control the spacing in-between letters and lines.

Tuesday Tips: DIY Letter Art
One of my favorite fads right now is the 3d letter decor. There are so many ways to decorate them and they can really complete a room. Save some extra cash and DIY instead! Here are some of my favorite ways several talented bloggers used to decorate these paper mache letters from Jo Ann's or any other craft store. I'll be linking to all the original bloggers.
First we have Metallic Letters Just like Anthropologie! You can even add thumb tacks before you paint to give it a more industrial look like the second image.
Yarn Wrapped Letters
Washi Tape Letters
Neon and Sequin Letters
Or if you have spare change... just use that for your sequins!
And last but not least Map Letters
